Chris Kardish is an Associate Consultant at SEEK Development. He combines strong editorial skills from his background in journalism with a fluency in quantitative research and data analysis from his more recent experiences in consulting, a think tank, and graduate school. His focus areas at SEEK are climate and energy policy, with past work analyzing the architecture of energy development assistance and clean-energy R&D. He also focuses on education, and is currently leading the Donor Tracker’s expansion into the education sector.
Before SEEK, Chris worked for the sustainability consultancy adelphi, the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, and a wave-energy startup, all in Berlin. In his native United States he worked as a journalist for various outlets, including the Associated Press, and completed a two-year term with Teach For America.
Chris holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
