Shantih van Hoog
Shantih van Hoog is a Senior Consultant at SEEK Development. As a clinical doctor with extensive research experience, she has both a sound technical background and a deep understanding of international development from holding various roles at public, private and non-profit institutions. Shantih’s key sectoral focus area is global health. At SEEK, Shantih advises a broad array of clients, including WHO, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition, she leads project management and outreach for the Donor Tracker website.
Prior to joining SEEK, Shantih worked at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNAIDS, where she was an advisor on health and youth issues. She was a representative on the board of the Global Fund, a consultant for various NGOs, and a strategist at Dutch campaigning agency BKB, specialized in storytelling. Furthermore, she worked on scientific publications about the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) and 3D printing of airways to improve intubation in high risk surgery.
Shantih graduated as a medical doctor at the University of Amsterdam, with extracurricular courses in tropical medicine, human rights and journalism.
